At farmer “Boer Bas” cheese farm in Ouderkerk aan den IJssel, cheese is made seven days a week from early in the morning until late at night. The farm of “Boer Bas” is situated on the outskirts of the town Krimpen, but on the territory of the town Ouderkerk. Van der Bas’s cows graze in the pastures between the two towns. All the milk from these cows is processed into cheese.
On the cheese farm they also have their own shop nowadays. Here you can find various products from the region, such as milk, eggs, ice cream, farmer’s butter, farmstead cheese, baked goods and other local products.
Van der Bas’s family specializes in making raw milk farmstead cheeses. In this way they created the Oudelandse Farmstead Cheese “ Subliem Oud” for us.
