Silver for Treur Kaas

During the International Cheese Festival in Oviedo, Spain, the World Cheese Award also took place. This is an annual cheese competition with 4,000 cheeses from 40 countries being judged by a jury and nice awards being presented. We submitted four cheeses and… four awards!

The cheeses we submitted for this cheese test were the following: Daniel’s Selection Organic Nutmix, Daniel’s Organic Green Pesto, Weydeland Flinck and Chevretta Excellent Truffle. The cheeses under the header of Daniel’s Selection are cheeses from our new export line. All four cheeses were awarded a Silver Award during the World Cheese Awards!

Daniel’s Selection Organic Nutmix – SILVER

An organic cheese with the addition of walnuts, hazelnuts and fenugreek seeds. This cheese is prepared with the best organic cow milk and has matured for about 8 weeks. This results in an especially soft and creamy cheese with a very full flavour! Prepared with vegetarian rennet.

Daniel’s Selection Organic Green Pesto – SILVER

A wonderful cheese with a conspicuous green colour. The Organic Green Pesto is an organic cheese prepared with thermised cow milk. The addition of the organic green pesto mix (fenugreek, basil and garlic) makes this cheese very tasty. Matured for 8 weeks, so the dairy is still wonderfully soft. Prepared with vegetarian rennet, so also suited for vegetarians.

Weydeland Flinck (Daniel’s Selection O.C.) – SILVER

The Weydeland Flinck is an aged cheese that is also creamy! This cheese has matured in our warehousy in a special way. This results in an aged cheese with beautiful maturation crystals and with a creamy dairy. Rewarded with a beautiful silver award!

Chevretta Excellent Truffel (Daniel’s Selection Truffle) – SILVER

The Chevretta Excellent Truffle is softer and creamier even than you’re already used to with Chevretta goat’s cheeses. This is due to the special recipe of this soft goat’s cheese. The addition of Italian black truffle makes this cheese into a genuine luxurious delicacy.
